Buffalo at Tennessee (-4), 12:30 pm

The Titanic are left reeling,

As a new general leads the Bison charge.

The veterans of four crusades unite for a glorious day,

An upset looms large.

The Author's Thoughts: Buffalo looms as the Wildest of the Wild Cards. A shocking decision by Wade Phillips in pulling Doug Flutie in favor of Rob Johnson. But Johnson moved the offense well while Flutie has been hit-or-miss all year. Nostradamus also banks on Steve McNair having a sub-par game in his debut playoff appearance. You know one dog has to win this weekend. The Great Seer thinks it's going to be the Bills

Buffalo 27 Tennessee 19

Detroit at Washington (-5.5), 4:05 pm

The Flag of Burgundy will leave the capital rejoiced,

The slaying Leo the only choice.

The Author's Thoughts: Detroit and Gus Frerotte beat the Redskins soundly this year. But lately, the reeling Lions are a paper tiger. Washington has been one of the strongest teams in the league of late and Brad Johnson and Stenven Davis will do whatever it takes to come out on top.

Washington 27 Detroit 9

 Sunday, Jan. 9

Dallas at Minnesota (-7), 12:35 p.m.

The Prophecy of Nostradamus:

I see the grim visage of Silver Horseman hanging in the rafters of the dome.

The Norsemen are ruthless as they devastate at home.

The Author's Thoughts: This game is a ***** , stone cold, lead pipe lock. Even with a respectable Cowboys defense, the Vikings' offense is a touchdown scoring machine that resembles last year's lethal ensemble. They have defense too. Watch out NFL.

Minnesota 31 Dallas 10

 Miami at Seattle (-3.5) 4:05pm

The Prophecy of Nostradamus:

Fish and Erne shall go head-to-head,

Both with campaigns long dead.

The old Aqua's errant pitches become factor,

As the beaked ones will find themselves ahead.

The Author's Thoughts: Despite the absolute mockery of a team getting a third seed despite loosing 5 of its last 6 games, remember, Seattle had to beat the Chiefs in Week 16 to get here in the first place. Seattle is a very tough team at the Kingdome with crowd noise and the like. The Dolphins offense has not gotten on track since Dan Marino's return. Will Damon Huard be in there by the 2nd quarter. Seattle by two touchdowns.

Seattle 24 Miami 11
