How did the author come up with the 50 players listed below. Darts? SWAG? Bribes? In actuality, Al Pepper devised a fairly involved process in coming up with the 50 "Greatest" below .200 hitters. Al's determination is featured here. Originally part of the Mendoza's Heroes manuscript, it did not make the final cut. Note: Mike Adams, listed in the article, did not make the book due to having insufficient at bats as dictated by my formula. In his place is Charlie Metro, who turned out to be a better read anyway.
